Day 351 - Trip to Orlando (Day 4)

Another busy, but fun, day is in the books.  Today Disney sent Mickey, Goofy, Pluto and Belle to the resort for photos and autographs, we spent a little time on the Candyland playground and then headed to Universal Studios where we explored Diagon Alley.  Universal has a slightly different process for moving ahead in their lines.  I called it a speak easy as it always involved a completely different entrance into the ride as opposed to a separate line.

Trust me, the resort photos should be better.

Nolan flirting as usual.

In Diagon Alley we got Evan a Harry Potter interactive wand and then went around the different sites to test out his magic skills.  He also got to ride the Harry Potter Escape from Gringotts attraction.  He was on cloud nine when we left and the only thing that allowed us to get out of there at a decent time without much fuss was because of the rain that moved in and we're coming back tomorrow.  Universal is geared towards an older crowd so I'm afraid Nolan's ride choices may be a bit limited.  They did an amazing job with Diagon Alley.  The entire area is breathtaking and a movie lover's dream if you enjoy the Harry Potter series.

Lunch at the Leaky Cauldron.

Heading to Ollivander's for our wand.

Upon returning to our resort they were having a Christmas in June party; complete with Santa photos, gifts, arts and crafts and games.  We even managed to sneak in a little dancing.  As the night wore on I could tell Evan was wearing down.  He'll never admit when he's tired, but I could tell that he was ready to call it a night even before he said he was ready to go back to the room.

Jamming out to the music.

Photos with Santa.

On the health front Evan is holding up well so far.  His face hasn't reddened more, so we're pleased about that.  We've moved up to SPF 100 to help keep his skin from burning.  Fortunately the weather the rest of this week is a more moderate mid-80s.  Evan's leg strength seems to wane from time to time.  This should be expected though when you consider the amount of walking he's having to do is above normal for him.

Tuckering the kids out in the morning.

Below is a collection of our pictures.  The resort took some really good ones today, but we won't have access to them until the end of the trip.

Fueling up for another busy day.

Sitting in the queue for Shrek 4-D movie.

More Christmas dancing.

Getting the family in on the fun.

Getting ready to eat at the Leaky Cauldron.

Ready for some magic.

Dance machine.

A little more fun at the resort in the a.m.
